How to Install a Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR
- Unpack the box:
- Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR Box
- Remote Control & Batteries
- HDMI Lead
- User Manual (in English)
- Push the lead from the UHF aerial into the 'Antenna IN' plug
- Connect the HDMI lead (or scart lead) from the box to your TV
- Plug in the power lead
- After 5-6 seconds the box will come on and will display the "Initial Install" menu
How to Tune in Saorview on the Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR Box
- Go with all the default options shown on the installation screen by pressing 'OK' button
- Use the arrow keys on the remote if you want to change option but default works well
- Once the scan has started it will go through all the possible UHF channels
- If it picks up more than one transmitter it will add Radio & TV stations for each transmitter
- At the end of the scan it will exit automatically
- Only saving the channels from the transmitter with the strongest signal
How to Edit Channels & Set Favourites on a Walker WP6500TTR
- Delete & Rename Channels
- Menu
- Channel list
- Use up/down arrows to select channel
- Use left/right arrow buttons to select function
- Press OK to activate function
- Set Favoutites
- Arrow over to favourites and presss OK
- Brings up list of current channels
- Use arrow up/down to select channel
- Press OK when channel highlighted to add to favourites
- Press exit when finished to return to live TV
- Press FAV button on remote when watching TV to activate favourites list
- You can then select from your favourite channels
- To exit favourites menu, simply press the FAV button again You will see your full channel list again
How to use the EPG & Info Buttons on the Walker WP6500TTR
- Info Button
- Press info button once
- Shows now/next info
- Press again to remove OSD
- EPG
- Pres EPG button on remote
- Full 7 day EPG for Saorview
- Use arrow keys to navigate EPG
- When a particular programme is highlighted, you can press record button to set recording
- Press record a second time to deactivate the recording
- On a highlighted programme, press info button to show extended programme info
- Press info a second time to enlarge writing
- Use red/green buttons to show next day/previous day
How to Use the Subtitles & Digital Teletext Walker WP6500TTR
SUBTITLES
To turn the subtiltes
- Press the 'SUBT' button on the remote
- Press 'SUBT' a second time to deactivate subtitles
TELETEXT
- Press the 'TEXT' button
- Just use the arrow keys on the remote to navigate through the digital teletext menus
- Note due to the MHEG5 middleware this will work with
- HD Channels with the new Digital Aertel Teletext
Recording Subtitles on the Walker WP6500TTR
- The Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ Box records subtitles automatically whether they are turned on or not
- On a recorded programme, just simply press the SUBT button on the remote and the subtitles will activate
- Note: It takes a little time for the subtitles to kick in on the recorded programme
How to Format a Hard Drive on the Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR
- Menu
- Setup
- Install & retune
- Format disk
- Press ok
- Pin Code = 0000 (4 Zeros)
- Takes a less than a minute
- It deletes all your existing recordings
- Note: If you have scheduled recordings set, this will not work
- You must delete any scheduled recordings before you do this
How to Perform a Factory Reset on the Walker WP6500TTR
- Menu
- Setup
- Install & retune
- First time installation
- Select Yes to contine and press OK
- The factory reset takes about a minute
- Note: A factory reset will not wipe your hard drive

- There is some really great PVR Facilities on this Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR
- Because it is a Saorview+ PVR box, it has it's own internal Hard Drive like a Sky+ box

Play Back your Recordings on the Walker WP6500TTR
- The video above shows how to access your TV recordings and play them back
Series Link on the Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ Box
- Press the EPG button on the remote control
- Use the arrows keys to navigate to the channel & programme you want to series link
- Once the programme is highlighted, press the OK button
- Gives 3 options
- Select Channel
- Record Programme
- Record Series
- Select Record Series and press OK
- You will be given an option as to how many episodes you want to record (All is default)
- Use arrow keys to select the number of episodes you want to record and press OK
- Programme will now be highlighted in outter yellow box
- Your series link for that programme is now set
- To undo series linking
- In the EPG, navigate to a series linked programme
- Press the OK button
- Select cancel series link from the options provided
How to Use the Media Player on the Walker WP6500TTR Saorview+ PVR
- To access the media player functionality, you must connect a compatible USB drive to the USB port on the back of the receiver
- There are a number of ways of accessing the media player, all shown in the video above

- Supports both SD & High Definition Films
