How to upload new software onto VIP2 if the sound goes missing on the HD channels

I have this connected to the web and it recently performed an update and lost the original pre-programming list. I re-tuned the channels but I have no sound on the HD channels. All other channels are OK. I am taking the signal from a sky satellite dish which is fine for Sky HD reception

Not entirely sure about this. A lot of people seem to buy the VIP2 because there are unofficial updates on the internet that allow extra functionality on this particular combo box. Unfortunately, by using these updates (if that is indeed what you have done), you will have invalidated your warranty. But hopefully we can help you here. The next step you should take is;
