How to Install a T & K Wall Bracket
Tools Needed
- A ladder
- SDS cordless drill
- Short 8mm, 16mm drill bits
- Ratchet with 13 & 17mm long neck sockets
- Snips
- Safety equipment (harness, safety mat etc)
Equipment Needed
- T&K wall bracket set (Choice of 12, 18 or 24 inch sets with 18" being most popular)
- Pole (1.8m long, 32mm diameter - steel or aluminium)
- Shield anchor bolt M10 (qty: 5)
- U-bolts - small or large will do (qty:2)
Location
- On a gable wall of a house to ensure aerial is above roof line of neighbouring buildings if possible
Steps to Install
- Position ladder to left (if right handed) of where brackets are to be mounted.
- Secure the ladder and put on all safety equipment
- Ascend the ladder with the drill, tools, bolts and T-bracket
- After selecting desired location, use 8mm bit to drill guide holes
- Now use 16mm bit to drill hole
- Use ratchet and 17mm socket to bolt on T bracket using the shield anchor bolts
- Position K bracket approximately 35cm below the T bracket
- Insert the U-bolts into the bracket and loosely tighten
- THE T & K WALL BRACKET INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE
