I'm an ex pat living in Spain, could you give me some info on receiving UK Freesat channels in Spain. I don't speak the local lingo and I really miss my BBC.

Currently a company called Arqiva are leasing a transponder on this satellite.
The service is called "BBC-Satback" which provides "emergency back up feeds" for the UK Freeview system, should the Freeview mast relay service lose it's feed from their parent transmitter.
Can I Pay for the service?
No, as it is purely a back up service
Weakness of Encryption System
Since early 2012, some satellite receivers have been able to open the encryption using "codes" from the internet but note this, such hacks are illegal. Also not every box set top box can do this in any case.
Freesat is Free on Astra 2 Why Would Anyone Want to Use Intelsat 907 @ 27.5 W?
It all comes down to location. In some parts of Europe the Astra 2 signal is unavailable as the footprint has been reduced but Intelsat 907 @ 27.5W is available as an alternative.
Which Size Dish?
The reception of this Intelsat 907 satellite in Spain, is very strong, and could easily be received in most of Spain on an 80cm or 1m satellite dish.
