USES of Diplexer Wall Plate
- Allows for a single satellite cable to be run through / down a wall
- The single satellite cable using a combiner at start of run can carry both satellite and aerial signals
- The single cable is then fed into the rear of the diplexer wall plate
- Individual satellite and aerial feeds can then be taken from the faceplate to TV and/or receiver
ADVANTAGES of Diplexer Wall Plate
- Works extremely well
- It is relatively straight forward to install
- Neat and compact and will fit into an existing pattress box
- Is a screened diplexer wall plate so handles interference better
DISADVANTAGES of Diplexer Wall Plate
- Dearer than using 2x satellite and aerial combiners
- A bit more expensive than using an unscreened diplexer wall plate
- You also need more room in the wall for a screened diplexer wall plate as the back of the plate is deeper
- You will still need a satellite and aerial combiner on the start of the run probably in the attic
